As a Bride of Christ, Sr Tecla Veronica places her gifts at the service of the Holy Church, sewing traditional vestures for priests and seminarians, thereby restoring beauty and dignity to the sacred liturgy and to its holy ministers of the altar. After transitioning from the cloister of Carmel in 2021 to a hermetic life of prayer and work, she joined Mrs. Patti Dunne in this apostolate. Over the course of the following 17 months the two worked side by side as Mrs. Dunne taught Sr. Tecla the golden nuggets she had acquired throughout her lifetime of sewing. Gradually, Mrs. Dunne has graciously handed on the responsibilities, and Sr. Tecla joyfully sews and serves at her hermitage in Central Wisconsin. She considers it a great honor to labor in the vineyard of the Lord for Holy Mother Church and for souls, all for the greatest glory and honor of Almighty God.
Other than sewing Vestures, Sister Tecla relies on the providence of God and the generosity of the faithful to cover her living expenses. If you would like to make a donation to support her vocation of prayer and sacrifice feel free to do so here.
